I am just one of the many RIM defectors these days. I have been using the Voyager Pro+ (VP+) with blackberry Curve 8900 (BB) up until today, when I changed the BB for a Samsung Galaxy S II.
With BB, things were absolutely flawless. Connections were established whenever needed, no problems on the audio quality etc.
With Samsung Galaxy II, I can't even connect the two. The device doesn't even find, ever, the VP+ device.
I was able to confirm that the bluetooth IS working, by connecting the Samsung to the Blackberry.
I wasn't able to pair the VP+ with another Samsung device I have (we ordered a batch of 4 such devices).
This gets to be a little frustrating, any indications on what may go wrong?
If I turn the BB back on, the VP+ continues to successfully register with the Blackberry, while remaining complete moot on the Samsung G2.
Full specs of the Samsung Device:
* Model number - GT I9100
* Android Version - 2.3.5
* Baseband Version - I9100BVKJ4
* Kernel - 18.104.22.168
* Build Number - Gingerbread - BVKJ4
the Voyager PRO+ Configuration Code - EI
I hope you can give me at least a hint on what is going on.
After a few digs, another thread was listing the same problem as mine, albeit not formulated in the same way (which is why I didn't find it in the first place).
I have been looking for the answer to this question as well. I got tired of looking and started playing around with my Voyager pro +. This all started when I got a replacement Evo since my original Evo would not charge. I setup my phone with everything else (mail, contacts etc) and then went to pair my bluetooth.
The Voyager wouldn't even go into pairing mode. I made sure my old phone was off, battery out, all the crap. Still no luck. I scoured the net, assuming there was a hard reset option. After not finding anything, I figured there were only 4 buttons,i should be able to stumble onto the combo that works.
Well, I don't know if it resets it, but this is how I got it into pairing mode. Make sure the unit is off. Press and hold the power button. The blue light will come on, keep holding the power button.
Then it will flash red once, KEEP HOLDING THE POWER BUTTON! After about 10 seconds it will flash red and blue like it is supposed to do when in pairing mode. Hope this helps someone.
