I've recently hooked up a CS50 to my Cisco 7941 IP Phone. It worked great once or twice. But the next day, when I tried to use it again, no one could hear me. I could hear them, but they couldn't hear me. I checked the mute. On or off, no one could hear me. So I turned up the microphone volume on the back of the base. No change. I tried changing the setting on the bottom of the base. It was on "B". I tried each of the four settings (A through D) and when I got to "D", there was the sound of static on the other phone, but when I spoke, it wasn't coming through. I was inclined to say that the microphone on my headset must have died. But hearing the static when I upped the microphone volume to "D" leads me to beieve that the microphone is working okay. I'm at a loss and would appreciate any suggestions.
I have the same problem. We recently got Cisco IP Phones, model 7945. When I hooked up my CS50, two things happened. One, I now have to push the headset button to activate the headset. Two, I can't walk more than 4 feet away or the sound to the caller fades. Before I got this new phone, I was able to walk down the hall clearly. Anyone have any ideas?
Looking at the compatibility guide this works with each other, if this is hooked up right . If the cisco phone has a headset jack, don't use it. The short cord that came with the headset plugs into the handset receiver jack. You may have to re pair or re subscribe to the base of the headset at this point.
