Hi! Anybody found a website where I can download software driver for bluetooth of Voyager Pro + for Windows 7 64 bit?
I called the technical support but they are pointing their fingers somewhere else to Microsoft or the PC/laptop manufacturer.
Technical support should support Windows 7, XP and MAC since they are the most popular OS on earth for PC and laptops.
The product is working good in mobile phones but in PC and laptop it is not due to the lack of driver. It looks like that their
Tech Support are not totally commited to the usabilty of their product.
I am using my Voyager Pro for Unified Communications with Windows 7 64-bit on my Lenovo x201 Tablet now. I am using the embedded bluetooth radio (not a dongle). The driver is "Bluetooth Hands-free Audio" from Broadcom Corp, Driver Date: 01/12/2010, Driver Version 184.108.40.2060, Digital Signer: Microsoft Windows Hardware Compatibility Publisher.
I didn't install this driver--it came installed on my company-provided OS image.
was having trouble with default Win7-64bit bluetooth drivers (pro+ would connect, but not be visible by OC or Skype), tried to update thru auto-search but results came back that i had most current. manually searched for Thinkpad Bluetooth driver for my model, and noticed that current version on Lenovo driver site had a bit higher version number, so i reinstalled ... bingo, now all works fine. good luck.
I pruchased the Voyager Pro before and it did now work with my Lenovo Thinkpad X220 (Windows 7 Enterprise 64 bit). I can find the Voyager Pro but when connecting it was not able to install the driver (locally and also from the internet)
Today I went to the shop to purchase the Voyager Pro+ and tried to connect to the same Thinkpad on Win 7 64bit. Same problem. The shop recommended another bluetooth dongle. Using that dongle it worked (can connect the Voyager Pro+) with all standard driver automatically install from the internet.
Bought the Voyager Pro+ and the bluetooth dongle. Charge the Voyager Pro+ and upon testing further I found that the connection between the bluetooth dongle & the voyager pro+ is not stable. I would disconnec without any apparent reason.
Then I went to the Lenovo support website (http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-76986) and found that they have a new bluetooth driver (released 21st Aug 2011) Version 220.127.116.1100.
Downloaded the file (~145mb) installed and updated the Lenovo Thinkpad X220 internal bluetooth, reboot, and paid it with the Voyager Pro+ and VOILA! it found the Voyager Pro+
So far the connection is stable and I am able to use the voyager pro+ with my VOIP software (IBM Lotus Sametime VoiceSuite). At the same time it also connects to my iPhone. If a call comes in through my phone, it can route it to the Voyager Pro+! Of course the VOIP call get on hold. After my call on the iPhone is done, the connection to my VOIP software comes back automatically .... How wonderful!!
Next I should try it with my old Voyager Pro. Maybe the problem is with the bluetooth driver all this while ....
Update 29-Sept-2011 - YES confirm, the old Voyager Pro works as well! So it's the bluetooth driver that needs to be updated. Fyi, I am using the Lenovo X220 on bluetooth driver version Version 18.104.22.16800 (download link above).
PS : The new voyager pro+, you can charge and use your bluetooth headset at the same time! How cool is that?!
shadow, you are a lifesaver I was just about to bite the bullet and buy the USB adapter for my PT Calisto. I took the chance and download the latest Lenovo driver you posted even though my T510 lappy is not on the list. The driver that gets installed now is ThinkPad Bluetooth 3.0 Version 22.214.171.1241 I can't believe it, but it is now recognized and everything works! Conexant Smart Audio HD even sees it so I can use the noise canceling AND the equalizer!
