You cannot change the battery in the CS70 headset. You would need to get the headset replaced through Plantronics. If you would like to know how to get it replaced, I have attached the link below to contact the Technical Assistance Group.
tried to use your exchange program, they used to always send us a new one then we could use the same packaging to send back the old one. I am told today you no longer do this, now i have to send mine in and wait for you to send me another one back. I asked if I could do it any other way and the rep said no.
We are a business and use headsets all day, to be completely down for that amount of time is crazy. You really need to re-look at your customer support policy. At the very least you could let me purchase the additional one at a higher price and credit our account after you receive the old one back. I am assuming you were not getting some headsets back and that is why you stopped your old policy of shipping a new one out right away.
please consider this or i will start buying a different brand of headsets, or find a way to change out the battery locally.
Scott, you should probably get in touch with one of Plantronics distributors, they can help a lot in these situations, and they usually have advanced options for handling these things. You can find them in the where to buy section at Plantronics.com: http://www.plantronics.com/us/where-to-buy/
Did one better, ordered a battery off the web. opened up the bottom of the headset, removed the battery and re-solderd the new one in place. Everything seems to be working perfect. the battery cost me 2 for $20 and I was not down at all. If you do not have a soldering gun then take it to any electronic shop they should be able to take care of you...
