I have used my Voyager Pro for a year with fantastic results with my iPhone 3GS. Earlier this week, I upgraded to iOS4, and I my Voyager worked even better.
Today I received my iPhone 4, VP synced right up. Features worked just like they should but the sound is atrocious. I hear a constant wind like noice unless I turn the volume down all the way to the point I can't hear the caller. Everyone I talk to keeps saying I sound like I am a mile away and keep asking me to repeat what I say. I, also, can't hear them well at all.
Paired the same VP with my wife's new iPhone 4, and had the exact same poor results. Her Motorola sounds crystal clear when paired to the iPhone 4.
I spoke to Plantronics tech support and they said that basically the iPhone 4 is brand new and they haven't had feedback yet.
I wonder if all VP will have the same incompatibilities or if there are different firmware revisions of the VP and will work well.
I hope I get a work around from Plantronics soon as I love my VP and want to be able to continue to use it.
Any help or feedback from others would be appreciated.

OK, to be clear.
You are saying with a 3GS and iOS3, the sound quality was good in both directions. You updated the 3GS to iOS4 and still the audio quality was good in both directions?
Am I right so far?
Now with an iPhone4 (iP4) running IOS4, the audio quality is poor in both directions?
On the side of the VP headset, there is a little marking which is something like GF or GL, what does yours say?
We have tested iOS4 earlier than many other people, but it was on a 3GS and the iP4 was not available. We were told all iOS4 devices should behave the same, maybe this is not true. I can not promise a quick solution to your problem. What is the model of Motorola headset your wife uses?

Thanks for the quick reply. You are following it exactly.
My VP says GG 19 PG.
The Motorola model number is H780.
Thanks again.

I have the same problem. My VP worked great with iPhone 3GS with both iPhone 3.X and iOS4 software, but now sounds terrible with iPhone 4
I'm actually hearing the other person okay, but they tell me they can barely even understand what I'm saying.
My VP says GF E9.
I wonder if it could be iPhones fault, maybe having something to do with the built in noice cancellation mic. But I understand that other headsets work fine.

I too have the same exact problem with the Voyager Pro. It works fine with my iPhone3G and 3GS but my voice sounded like underwater with the iPhone4.
My VP says GF E9 as well.

Yes, there is definitely something going on here.
The Voyager Pro headset is the only thing that made my 3gs even remotely usable as an actual phone. I've used it almost daily since I got it.
I had a convo for about 10 minutes, got my iphone4 up and running, paired, made and received calls to the same caller and the result was the same. I could hear the caller fine, but they said they could barely hear me talking, let alone understand what I was saying.
I did notice something though. If you use the VP and run the voice memos app, the headset+phone combo work as intended. It seems, at least in my case, that it's only during an actual call that there is an issue.
I hope we can somehow work this out, I can't use the phone, as a phone, without a headset and I can't return it as my 3gs is already spoken for. Maybe I'll just buy a corded headset.
My config code is gg of July 09.

2 more here: my husband and I are experiencing the same problem. VERY muffled sound.
Edit: to clarify, we can hear the other person fine, they cannot hear us well at all.

@fayster
Did you use your VoyagerPRO on a 3GS running iOS4 before changing to the iPhone4 too?
