I already read the FAQ on this, but when I run the DX diag, under the Sound 1 tab, I don't have a slider I can adjust. I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. The headset works fine if I don't use the 5.1 USB module (but sounds like crap of course). I also looked in my volume controls section and there's nothing there either. Can someone help me figure this out? Thanks

Can you try the headset on another computer to see if the issue follows the headset or it is computer related? If you have already tried what the FAQ gave you as a solution, which usually works, but you are saying you don't have a slider bar, it could be the headset, but it could also be the computer. If you would like, you can contact the Technical Assistance Group at the link below and they should be able to assist you.

Probably this...
'Memory leak or something in the chipset' - example of this was on podcast TWiT 247 with Leo Laporte this past week, happened right while doing the live podcast! See the recording - http://twit.tv/247 @57:20 into the podcast. Leo suggests the chipset in the headset 'c-media chipset in the Plantronics', after @an hour does this probably because of a memory leak.
Listen to the example, seems like Plantronics should do something to fix and recall these!
