CS70VT issue

I have a CS70VT head set attached to a MITEL VoIP phone with a handset lifter.  I has been working but recently has stopped working correctly.  This is what is happening when the CS70VT is connected to the phone the head set works the and  lifter works;  on the phone the speaker phone works but if you pick up the handset there is no dial tone.  I i disconnect the CS70VT the phone handset works fine.  I have did a reset of the wireless head set with directions from this site.  It seems that everything works fine but not when connected together

Are you plugging the headset's base unit into the handset port or headset port. It sounds like you're plugging in through the headset port. Although it's counter-intutive you actually need to connect through the handset port. The base unit of the CS70 has a jack in the front to allow you to plug in the handset so you can still use it if you want. Once you're connected through the handset jack anytime you want to switch between the headset and the handset, just turn the headset off and the dialtone will move to the handset until you hang up. The speakerphone should work fine as well.

Also if you're able to hear and be heard on your headset there's no reason to do the reset.

Thanks Tex i will check in to that when i am back on Monday.  I found it a little wierd that in the year i have been there it has been working fine till a little while ago.
