Why does my Audio 995 Wireless Headset Work in one instance but not in another?

One day, after several weeks worth of use, I went to turn on my wireless headset and found that it was completely mute for all the videos I tried to watch... but to complicate things, when I went on Skype it worked fine. Now I am aware that if your computer is on mute Skype will unmute you, so I checked for that and my computer is not muted... it just doesnt work with anything BUT Skype... so does anyone have any idea why it worked before but isnt now?

Usually when using a headset with Skype, the headset needs to be selected in Skype only, not in your sounds and audio devices. Did you double check your sounds and audio devices to make sure the headset was selected for both sound playback and sound recording? Do you have the adaptor plugged directly into your computer (not a hub or docking station)? You can always contact the Technical Support Group at the link provided below:
