Hi, Would a H81 TriStar headset work with both a BT Converse 1300 telephone (which has a headset socket), and a cordless phone with 2.5mm headset socket (using QD to 2.5mm adapter cable), without a separate amplifier? If not, would an A10 bottom cable work, or could a Vista Plus amplifier be used without re-wiring the handset? Just bought one on eBay without realising the Polaris version might be better... Thanks.

Thanks Tex. The headset's arrived now. The 2.5mm seems to work OK. When connected to the BT Converse with the U10 bottom cable (I think it's U10 - clear plug), I don't hear anything. Connected with the U10P (polaris version I think, with smokey plug), it works. I'm going to do some more testing on both connections though as I've had reports of noise on the line/reduced voice quality when it's plugged in, although it sounded fine to me... if necessary, I'll investigate the A10/amplifier options further. Thanks again.
